Accessibility
In order to make this geocacher meeting a great event for many, we also want to integrate the topic of accessibility and inclusion.
We will implement the following:
Contact person before and during the event:
Manfred (fotofr12) accessibility@geow4.at
•
Parking spaces directly in front of the event area
•
Barrier-free access (to all activities and premises)
•
Assistance animals have unrestricted access
•
Overview map for download
•
Information material in easy language for download
•
Obstacles (glass doors, steps, thresholds) are marked with high-contrast signs
•
Seating for resting is available on each floor
•
Quiet zone for gathering and desensitising (also for breastfeeding and feeding babies)
•
Signage with pictograms where necessary
•
Sound equipment for lectures/workshops if possible (little background noise)
If necessary, we also try to implement:
•
Information material and signage in Braille
•
Sign language interpreter
•
GC guide or partner (so that caches can be completed that may not be possible alone)
•
Providing loan items if necessary (e.g. biltema fishing rod, ...)
(If there is a need, please let us know)!!!
We are also working on a lecture and workshop:
•
- What is geocaching?
•
- What does barrier-free mean?
If we have not thought of something that is important to you, please let us know so that we can try to implement it. Thank you very
much!
